Beach Info
Algies Bay is a tidal 150m fine sand and shell Beach. It is a very busy area for launching boats as it has great access out to Kawau island and the Tawharanui peninsula. The boat ramp is easily accessible and well maintained. When swimming be aware of boats anchored offshore and boat activity around the ramp. There is plenty of parking and great facilities like grass areas, shelter, picnic tables, playground, toilets, showers, and BBQ. It is a calm safe spot protected by Kawau island from swell and wind.
