Beach Info
Cable Bay Beach is a 500m white shell sand beach with rocky outcrops at each end. It is a popular spot for swimming as access from the road is very easy. The beach drops away to deep water quickly from the low tide mark and has a shore break at high tide so caution is needed especially with children. There is potential for rip currents to form around the rocks during an outgoing tide, or when there is surf. It has a small creek mid-beach that provides shallow freshwater play areas and rock pools at the eastern end.
