Beach Info
Castor Bay is a great little beach with a playground, grass reserve, and small car park. However, parking can be very limited at Castor Bay. The large grass reserve offers a fantastic place for a picnic. The beach is not patrolled by surf lifeguards, so if you're not a competent swimmer, swim between the red and yellow flags at nearby Takapuna Beach or Mairangi Bay. If you do enter the water, make sure you stay within your limits, be aware of submerged rocks and currents, and keep young children within arm's reach.
