Beach Info
Coopers Beach is a 2km long white sand and shell beach framed by pohutakawa trees. Gently sloping, often with sheltered calm water, it is a great beach for swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking and walking. Rocky outcrops with tidal pools at each end are a fun place to play, although the same rock formations can form rip currents when there is surf. There is potential for surf if the wind is strong in Doubtless bay. Although it has no boat ramp it does get very busy with power craft during holidays periods.
