Eastern Beach is a great spot to spend a summer day, whether you're having a picnic with family and friends, or going for a swim. Alternatively, enjoy the 2.5km Eastern Beach Path along the beach and enjoy the views to Waiheke Island and Beachlands. Take care as the beach slopes away steeply at high tide, so stay within your limits, and keep within arm's reach of young children. If you're heading out on paddle or sail craft, check the conditions, ensure you wear a correctly fitted lifejacket, and take all of the right gear.
