Located a short drive from Titirangi Village, French Bay (Otitori Bay) is a great spot to relax on the beach or go for a swim. Just ensure you keep within arm's reach of young children. French Bay is tidal, so swimming is best at high tides. Keep clear of the boat ramps, and be aware of currents in the water, particularly as the tide goes out. If you're heading out on a boat or paddle craft, check the conditions, ensure you wear a correctly fitted lifejacket, and take all of the right gear.
