Beach Info
Glenbrook Beach is located on the eastern bank of the Waiuku River in the Manukau Harbour with views across to the Awhitu Peninsula. This narrow beach is backed by a sea wall at the southern end and grass reserve to the north; it is fronted by a wide expanse of tidal flats that is exposed at low tide.
If you enter the water at Glenbrook Beach, take care as there may be currents as the tide goes out. The water is deep in the main channel beyond the tidal flats and there may be stronger currents. The water gets deep quickly at high tide, so keep within arm's reach of children and always swim within your limits. Also, make sure you keep clear of the vessel access lane (black and orange markers and buoys).
