Hatfields Beach is good spot for a walk over summer. Hatfields Beach can be quieter than surrounding beaches. Hatfields Beach Reserve is a large grassed reserve across the road from the Beach and it a great place to relax or kick a ball around. Steer clear of the northern end of the beach as strong currents may be present around the stream mouth, particularly during outgoing tides. If you head in for a swim, ensure you stay within your limits and go with a friend. If you're planning on heading out on a boat, paddle craft, or sail craft, make sure you check the conditions first, wear a correctly fitted lifejacket, and take all of the right gear.
