Beach Info

The base of the waterfall is accessible by the Kitekite track, a ~45 minute return trip bush walk. Please stay on the boardwalks and tracks to protect the native Kauri trees. There is a small stream to cross, take care when stepping on the rocks as they can be unstable and slippery. Do not try to cross the stream after heavy rain.

From the swimming hole at the base of the falls, a further 20 minute walk takes you to the top of the falls where there is another swimming spot. Take care at both swimming holes as the submerged and slippery rocks present a hazard.
