Beach Info
Lake Taharoa is Northland’s deepest lake with a maximum depth of 38 m and is the second largest lake (197 hectares). It has beautiful crystal clear water with a white sandy bottom. There are two different camping locations on the lake foreshore with walking tracks that take you right around the lakes. This lake is popular for boating, kayaking, swimming and water skiing. The lake was surrounded by pine trees until the trees were felled in late 2010.
