Beach Info
Little Cable Bay Beach is a 50m white shell sand beach with rock outcrops at each end. It is a popular spot for swimming and families as access from the road is very easy. There is a large sandy area during low tide at the western end. This area is sheltered from most wind and is a great place to explore the rocks or play in the shallow warm water. The beach drops away quickly from the low tide mark and has a shore break at high tide so keep chidren at arms length. There is potential for rip currents to form around the rocks during an outgoing tide and when there is surf. There is also an area of deep water as the creek exits the rocks at the western end. Both are hazards that visitors need to be wary of.
