Beach Info
Onehunga Bay Lagoon is a great place to walk, swim, or participate in water sports.
Rixen NZ operate a wakeboarding cable park at the site, which members of the public may use for a fee.
Other water users should stay a safe distance away from the cables and wakeboarders.
Caution must also be exercised around the tidal gates as there can be strong currents. Keep within arm’s reach of young children, and never swim alone.
Swimming is best at high tide due to the very soft mud exposed at lower tides.
