Beach Info
Orere Point is a long rocky beach. It is often quiet, providing a tranquil escape at the entrance to the Firth of Thames. Take care walking on the beach as sharp oyster shells can be present. It has a freshwater stream flowing onto the beach at the carpark. There are picnic tables, toilets and plenty of shade. Water is shallow for 100m then drops away. The beach has rocks with oyster shell which can be sharp. There is a current where the stream enters sea. Orere Point is a great place for a picnic and fishing.
