Beach Info
The Pahi River connects to the Kaipara Harbour at this beach. Around 200m long with a 50m long jetty at the northern end, the gently sloping beach has minimal surf. The water is shallow for 100m then gets deeper as you approach the tidal channel. A great place to swim, picnic or enjoy the historic buildings. There is a picturesque park adjacent to the beach with huge Moreton Bay Fig trees. Plenty of shade under the trees and picnic tables make it a great spot for lunch or games. Watch out for sharp shells, boats, and tidal currents if the tide is going out. The jetty is directly adjacent to boat ramp with boat activity around the jetty on land and in the water so keep children within arms lenght and in sight at all times.
