Beach Info
Rapahoe beach is a popular summertime spot for swimming for many Greymouth locals and visitors to the area. Surfing and fishing are popular all year round. The safest conditions are found in surf under 1 metre. There is a consistent rip associated with the Point Elizabeth to the south of the beach. There are no facilities located on the beach, but can be found at the Rapahoe pub and Rapahoe holiday park 500m North. Access is via a slipway located in front of the Rapahoe pub. Kotuku Surf Lifesaving Club patrols this beach during the weekends of the summer months (weather permitting).
