Beach Info
Red Beach is a popular spot for a wide range of activities, particularly a swim on a warm summer day. Enjoy views to the northern side of the Whangaparāoa Peninsula and north along the coast. There may be strong currents around the stream mouth and headland at the northern end of the beach, particularly during outgoing tides. Make sure you remain within arm's reach of young children, and swim between the red and yellow flags. If you're planning on taking a paddle or sailcraft out, make sure you check the conditions first, especially the wind as it may be strong and offshore. Ensure you wear a correctly fitted lifejacket and take all of the right gear.
