Beach Info
St Heliers Beach is a popular destination year-round, offering stunning views of Rangitoto Island. Parking can be limited during peak times, but frequent bus services make St Heliers Beach easily accessible throughout the year. Many shops and eateries are nearby.
St Heliers has a boardwalk and a nice sandy beach. Take care as the water becomes deep quickly at high tide and currents may pull you into deeper water. Steer clear of the boat ramp, and make use of the area defined for swimming; note, this area is not patrolled by surf lifeguards. Keep young children within arm's reach. Stay within your limits, and swim with a friend.
