Beach Info
Tahunanui beach is a location most suited for swimming. There is generally no surf and as the swash gradient of the beach is shallow, surfing and fishing are not popular activities. The beach is a popular place, especially during the summer, with the beach well suited to family usage. There are a wide range of other activities in the ‘fun park’ immediately adjacent to the beach, and good facilities are provided. The beach is patrolled by Nelson Surf Life Saving Club in the weekends of the summer months.
