Beach Info
Umupuia Duders is a peaceful beach with fantastic views out to Waiheke Island. The beach stretches 2 km with a gentle slope of sand and shells. About 5 meters offshore, the sand transitions to mud, and the water gradually deepens from 10 meters out. Sheltered by Waiheke Island, the beach remains calm with no surf and is protected from extreme weather.
Even at high tide, there’s plenty of space for sunbathing or playing with the kids, making it a great spot at any time. The views of the Coromandel and Waiheke Island are impressive, and just across the road, the Umupuia Beach campsite offers large grassy areas and facilities.
